What you’ll do

The position will be based in Oxnard and you will become a part of a dynamic organization with a strong mission. As Logistics Manager you will manage our food production warehouse/distribution center. Your time will be spent between running the daily operations, as well as identifying and implementing improvement measures. We are looking for a hands-on, numbers-driven person with a focus on impact. This role has a great combination of high-level thinking and being in the trenches of a shop floor. This means being able to roll up your sleeves to work the line if needed.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations, Food Production Manager and Procurement Manager to develop an operations improvement road map as we grow.
  • Accountable for quality and inventory management, two key points in running a successful hub
  • Lead and supervise a diverse team of hourly associates
  • Reinforce and administer operational procedures
  • Manage last mile (Fulfillment, Routing, drivers and 3PL)
  • Develop and maintain a safe work environment
  • Be responsible for achieving all operational goals
  • Reward and recognize performance and execute on progressive discipline, as needed-Mentor, train and develop teammates for career progression and learning
  • Develop and share best practices across the shifts and network- Create a positive team dynamic that encourages all employees in the hub to provide feedback and drive change within the facility, adapt to the ever-changing business
  • Drive continuous improvement when it comes to Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery while growing and expanding capabilities that meet warehouse mandatory requirements
  • Writing and implementing policies for maintaining Safety (OSHA), Food Defense, and Standard Operating Procedures for all warehouse mandatory requirements 
  • Maintaining annual certification to one of the GFSI schemes or pass an annual GMP food safety inspection from an approved auditing company (NSF etc…).
  • Able to outline and adhere to comprehensive written Recall plans
  • Maintenance of files of regulatory actions/visits/reports and associated written responses to any non-conformances for each regulatory incident. and available for review upon request
  • Creating and implementing documented policies to manage change that includes equipment, procedure, product, and personnel changes
  • Creating and implementing crisis management plans
  • Written programs for handling customer or consumer complaints that facilitate trending, and corrective actions
  • Creating and implementing documented policies and procedure to address Visitors and Contractors, their identity, hygiene, tools, and safety
  • Document Retention Policies that provides guidance on record keeping procedures and duration


  • Proficient in production software such as ERPs and digital HACCP platforms
  • Food Inventory Management, Supply chain, Production
  • Analyze, track and drive efficiencies across the supply chain, including forecasting, inventory, demand planning, and production
  • Manage relationships with key vendors / suppliers / co-packers /3PL
  • Oversee issuance of purchase orders for direct materials and co-manufacturers
  • Assist with managing raw material and non-perishable inventory within the supply chain including inventory accuracy
  • Manage, support, and enhance material planning models to support packaging and material inventory management and volume forecasting for suppliers
  • Support spend analysis and evaluate opportunities around purchasing decisions to develop sourcing plans
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of producing finished goods to customers
  • Interface with third party auditors, and other regulatory agencies
  • Recommend the plant’s operating budget. Manage and control expenditures and variances
