We are looking for someone who can take on the position as Head of Laboratory Innovation.

What you’ll do

You will be responsible for the company’s research and development primarily within fermentation and live cultures in collaboration with the culinary development team. Furthermore, you will participate in the product development process of a broad range of plant based dairy alternatives, functional foods, drinks and condiments.

As Head of Laboratory Innovation, you will be providing technical knowledge and expertise in supporting the company’s mission: to create the future of food by focusing on the power of plants, superior flavor and health benefits.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Process management in developing and implementing functional additives, fermentation processes and live cultures.
  • Interact with several teams across the company when ingredient functionality is being defined, developed and described, and specifications are created and documented.
  • In collaboration with Culinary Development Team, you will be providing knowledge and expertise to the company relating a wide range of plant-based products. 
  • In depth research and development into defining a unique series of plant based dairy alternatives.
  • Act as subject matter expert within the organization. Ensure proactive assessment of current and new product development.
  • Performance and documentation of small-scale test production.
  • Develop and maintain a system for conducting lab-tests of products including monitor routine microbiological testing program.

 Who you are?

We believe the person who will do well in this role has minimum five years of experience within dairy, food manufacturing or fermented drinks. Additionally, you share our enthusiasm for delicious plant-based meals as well as our mission. 

Further qualifications: 

  • Understanding of food environmental and sustainability claims.
  • Relevant educational background, eg. Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Food Science
  • The ability to drive organizational alignment on projects and innovation with an enterprise-wide mindset, and the adaptation of structure, processes, and systems to achieve results.
  • Solid knowledge of plant-based nutrition.
  • Ability to effectively present information to different levels of management.
  • Ability to adapt to the changing needs in a dynamic growth-oriented business.
