At Simple Feast we are on a mission to change the world’s eating habits towards a more sustainable future, and we’re doing it by showing off the power of plants. We have gathered some of the world’s greatest chefs, nutritionists, and developers to launch a new dining experience that combines innovation in technology with new discoveries in nutrition.

We make the most tasty, organic and healthy plant based food imaginable. Now, we will bring it to the streets and we hope you will join in to help. 

What you will do

  • Supervises all the activities in the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, portioning, and packaging.
  • Provides feedback and instructions to hourly kitchen staff, ensuring execution of all their duties
  • Assist in formulating, testing new recipes and menu presentation.
  • Inspect all kitchen equipment on a regular basis to ensure they are kept clean, sanitary, and in perfect operating order and fill inspection forms·   
  • Schedule and report necessary maintenance and repairs on kitchen equipment.
  • Inspect quality of received goods and report any non conformances to the production management
  • Monitor and verify daily pre and post operational cleaning and sanitation checklist and report any non compliance.
  • Inspect and verify operational food safety logs.
  • Monitors kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety department regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with state, federal, and local food handling requirements and standards.
  • Assists in the implementation, training and supervision of kitchen policies and procedures throughout scheduled shifts.
  • Completes the duties of production managers/leads when needed, and is capable of performing the duties of all kitchen positions.
  • Inspect and verify cooling logs to ensure products are stored at the correct temperatures.
  • Ensures utilization of daily prep sheets. Participates in the monthly inventory process.
  • Anticipates, identifies, and corrects any issues with inventory, systems, and staffing.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are being followed by kitchen staff. 
  • Oversees and provides feedback on training and development of kitchen staff.
  • Participates in the hiring process by conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.

Your Qualifications & Skills

Your Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of hospitality-related experience
  • 3+ years of Sous Chef or similar leadership experience
  • Current food handler’s card and any other certification as required by federal/state/local law
  • Comfortable using a computer, navigating standard office software
